E-Safety Information for Parents
The internet provides a wonderful and inspiring space for children to communicate, explore, laugh and learn.
It is our responsibility however to ensure that we all support our children in doing these things safely. E-Safety is an integral part of our Computing curriculum. All children will learn how to be safe on the internet as well as know who to talk to if they come across something inapproriate online. They will also learn about sharing their personal information online as well as the safe use of social network sites. The following Kingsacre Parents Online Safety Guide was created by the Online safety team which includes our School Captains:
The following links provide parents with a starting point for practical resources that offer tips and advice on different aspects of keeping children safe online. They can help support parents and carers of any age child to start discussions about their online life, to set boundaries around online behaviour and technology use, and to find out where to get more help and support. Our E-Safety Policies can be found below:
Following on from our Internet safety week and our whole school Internet safety assembly we have placed a CEOP report button on this page and the homepage of our school website - www.kingsacre-primary.devon.sch.uk
CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection) is an organisation which helps children stay safe online. If someone acted inappropriately towards you online, or to a child or young person you know, such as being asked to do something that makes you feel uncomfortable or someone being insistent on meeting up, it is very important that you tell someone. You can report it to CEOP by clicking the link on the bottom of this page or the homepage.
