Kingsacre Primary School

The teaching of Maths at Kingsacre Primary School follows the programmes of study and objectives set out in the 2014 National Curriculum.  The objectives are grouped into units of study and the mathematical skills of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving are taught throughout each unit. We want to foster a love for maths in our children.  We aim to achieve that by children not being afraid to make mistakes and knowing that it is by making mistakes that they will progress.   

We are using resources from the NCETM and The White Rose Maths Hub which develop reasoning and problem solving which are key aspects of the National Curriculum.
